Analysis ToolPak in Excel

Analysis ToolPak is a MS Excel add-in. It is used as a data analysis tools for financial, statistical and engineering data.

This add-in is not available by default and it has to be added manually. To add this Analysis ToolPak add-in, follow the steps below:

1. Click on File tab

2. Select Options

3. Under Add-ins, select Analysis ToolPak and click on the Go button.

4. Select “Analysis ToolPak” and click OK.

5. You can access Data Analysis function from Data Tab.

6. In this tutorial, you will observe the implementation of Random Number Generation. Click on Data Analysis and select Random Number Generation from the list below and click OK to create a Histogram in MS Excel.

7. Provide the following details to generate the random numbers. Enter the number of variables (Columns). Enter the number of Random Numbers (Row wise) to be generated under each variable (Column). Select Uniform under distribution. Give the Parameters between 12 and 15. Select output range to display the result.
